So Pintrest has been full of fabulous spring outfits.  And I for one need every one of the pins that I pin of cute outfits to appear in my closet.  It would make getting dressed in the morning so much easier!  So here we go:

How great would this dress be as a reception dress at a wedding? Perfect.

Well there you have it.  All my to die for outfits for spring.  Feel free to buy me any of the above items.  I wear a size small :). Hah, just kidding...but seriously.  I'm hoping to get a few of similar pieces for my spring/summer wardrobe.  And that lace blazer is definitely one of them.

Stylin' Saturday

Happy weekend to all.  I for one am glad its here.  Time to catch up on some homework, do some laundry, and relax.  I hope that all of you are doing the same!  Here's a little outfit post for you guys.

Shirt: American Eagle (from a while ago though)
Sweater: Loft (in petite! yay!)
Jeans: Fossil (my faves)
Earrings: Fossil
Shoes: my TOMs flats

Oh, and I had a really great hair day that day so I had to share it!  I'm growing my hair out so the majority of the time I wear my hair up in a bun because it's awkward and annoying.  I'm finally making some progress!  I haven't cut my hair since October!  I wish it would grow faster!!  Oh well.

I recently took off my acrylic nails after having them on for a very long time.  They are looking pretty good, I am pleased to announce.  I love this color.  It's a great red, pink, coral-ey color.  Great for spring which I hope is coming soon.  I just love Sally Hansen's complete Salon Manicure nail polish.  This shade is Frutti Petutie.  You can check it out here. Apparently this color is discontinued though but they have a similar shade.  It goes on really great and smooth because it has a top coat built right in!

Happy Weekend!

H54F #4

Thank the good Lord it is Friday.  I spent the majority of Wednesday thinking it was Friday.  Talk about a total let down when I realized it was only Wednesday!  But you all know what Friday brings and that is time to link up with Lauren over at From My Grey Desk for High FIve for Friday.  I honestly have had kind of a bum week but I scrounged up a few high points.

one.
Okay so these came in the mail last Friday.  But I had already made my High Five post so..
MY TOMS FLATS CAME IN THE MAIL!
I think I've worn them every day since I got them.

two.
Chipotle is my heaven.  It is one of the only "fast-food" like restaurants that have
good gluten free food.  Chicken bowl...with extra sour cream.  Yes, please.
They actually know me at my Chipotle, I'm a regular! Hah.

three.
My roommate's dog, Moofin, and I took a drive in this nice weather with the windows
down listening to some great tunes.  She loves to ride in the car!

four.
I love sushi.  And I rarely get it.  So, I ordered in one night while Casey and
my roommate were working.  I ate all of it.

five.
We have had gorgeous weather this week in SW Missouri.  Sunshine and 60s.
Bad news, it's gonna get cold again.

So the highlight of my week? Food. Hah, well when you can't eat everything food is definitely a highlight.  At least it is for me.

Link up with Lauren!  You know you want too!

Nostalgia

I said I'd share a little about myself every Thursday.  And I've been slacking, so I apologize.  I have been feeling a bit nostalgic lately.  So, I thought I'd tell you guys about my summer last year.  It was a pretty good one.

It was this time last year I was getting ready to start my internship with the Springfield Cardinals.  It's crazy to think about how much has changed.  How crazy that internship was.  For 7 months Hammons Field was my home and I can't say that I hated it.  It was hard, crazy hard at times.  Especially given the weather we had last season.  The weather was up, down, and all around.  Last summer was a roller coaster of events, emotions, and so many other things.

We were there.  In the heat, in the rain, in cold, we were out there.  We got sunburned.  And then we were shivering in the cold.  We were there.  We were in the office on the phones selling tickets.  We were on the field pulling the tarp in the pouring rain.  We were working in the public address room.  We were working in the concourse.  We were making mascot appearances.  We were there, all the time.  4 game homestands, 5 game homestands, the dreaded 8 game homestand.  We were there, every second.  Together.

Here are a few pictures of one of my favorite summers, ever:

one.
Opening day at Hammons Field
two.
My view from the public address booth where I sat...everyday
three.
The Budweiser Clydesdales at opening day. So cool.

four.
On Veteran's Day, a Marine parachuted into the field.

five.
Full time staff vs. intern softball game.
We got our butts handed to us.
six.
Just a typical view of mine.
Watching batting practice.

seven.
Ok, so this is the St. Louis Cardinals winning the World Series.
But I worked for the Cardinal's organization.  It counts, right?
eight.
The view from the radio room on the road in Springdale, AR.
nine.
My roommate and I soaking wet.  We had just finished pulling tarp
across the field in a torrential downpour.

Last summer was full of laughter.  And it has continued to be full of laughter.  Things have continually gone upwards since last summer.  It's still weird to drive past Hammons Field and know that I was once a huge part of it.  It's also a little weird to be thinking I won't be going back to every single game, that there are new interns this summer.  I miss seeing those people every day, that's for sure.

But the good news is, thanks to that internship I have my roommate whom I adore and through a friend of that internship I was introduced to the love of my life.  So I'd say it was pretty great.  A pretty great experience.

Is there anything in your life that makes you nostalgic sometimes?
Happy Thursday :)

Getaway weekend!

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend.  Hopefully a 3 day weekend like I did!  This weekend Casey and I celebrated Valentine's Day a little late and had a little getaway to Branson, MO this weekend and it was exactly what we needed.

Here's a little peek into our trip :)

We drove down on Saturday after Casey got off work and I saw the most beautiful sunset.  (check out the picture of it here)  When we got into town, we went straight to Walmart and got some munchies and some drinks to have in the room.  We had quite the adventure driving around town.  Lets just say thank goodness for my iPhone.  It helped out a lot.

We smuggled in my DVD player, ordered in, snuggled up to watch some Harry Potter and just relaxed.  It was the perfect first evening.

Casey snuck out the next morning and walked across the street and woke me up with Starbucks.  Thumbs up to my boyfriend :)

We spent a gorgeous day walking around on the Landing (a little shopping area where our hotel was) and just enjoying the day and each other.

We went to dinner Sunday night at a steakhouse and had a yummy dinner of steak and baked potatoes.  Delish.

Drive back to Springfield.  *sigh*  Back to reality, unfortunately.  But it was the perfect little weekend getaway.  Just what we needed :)
